I can’t help thinking that Mbeki’s quite diplomacy is partly to blame for the recent xenophobic deadly violence in South Africa. If his “keeping-the-peace-with-Mugabe” tactics wouldn’t been so successful, maybe there wouldn’t be as much tensions, due to the high presences of Zimbabwean fugitives, in the townships right now. But on the other hand, xenophobes always find someone else than themselves to blame for their own short comings…
