Bolt and "his" Jamaica is yet again astonishing us with running capabilities out of this world. The trashing of the 4 x 100 m world record by 30 hundreds of a second is impressive, but I still remain very sceptical (see "Bolt on drug?" and "Bolt still on drugs?").
I am just having constant flash backs of Ben Johnson’s tremendous race in the Olympics in 1988, the Marion Jones show at the beginning of this century and countless of other great performances by sprinters, cyclists and cross country skiers. They all ruined it for us sport lovers. And they ruined it for all other athletes, who can never achieve great results without being suspected of dishonesty.
Update: Apparently the former sprinter Carl Lewis is also being suspicious of the Jamaican sprint miracle.
